Please don't misunderstand me as I'm not advocating beuracratic control and support competition and innovation in the development of our market structure.
But I was refering to the safety topic of SUV's and how government policy came into effect and provides a clear purpose when appropriately administered.
If you travel through the midwest, or any unpopulated area in the U.S., you can achieve autobahn conditions - see Montana. Our highways were actually designed pretty well by our civil engineers then, but certainly could use improvement.
And Big Brother may not be limited to the government today or in the future. The AOL-Time Warner merger has George Orwell written all over it.
