For your trip, it depends on what you want to see. One trip I have made more than once (to show business associates some English history) is London to Stonehenge & Salisbury (great cathedral) then on to Bath (Roman baths) and, time permitting, back to Oxford. It's doable but start early in the day and avoid using the motorways as much as possible. The A4 is a good road with good scenery to Stonehenge. Don't be too ambitious if this is your first trip driving on left side of road. Re SAAB rentals, get phone number of a SAAB dealer in UK - go to SAAB UK site - then call them and ask who rents SAAB's
