By "commercial" i'm assuming you mean you'd like to become an "ATP" (air transport pilot.) That's what you need to fly passengers for United or whatever. There are private schools like Emery Aviation that will get you a BS degree and an ATP rating. Costs around $30k I hear. Some public schools like San Jose State University in California have programs, too. Go get yourself a copy of Flying magazine and look through the ads. When you graduate, don't expect to hop into the left seat of a United 777, tho. You'll have to work your way up starting in the right seat, and it will likely be hauling freight or flying corporate jets on ungodly schedules for a few years. If it were easy, everybody would do it!
The other posts are right about flying as being regarded as pretty boring except when interrupted by terror. I'm a pilot (not ATP) and I find it quite peaceful up there. Do take an introductory flight; they'll let you fly around a bit and you can judge for yourself. I've always wanted to fly helicopters, and I found the post by Ed S interesting. Helo pilots usually make good money I think, but choppers take special training and are not for everyone.
Lastly, check out this site from the Bureau of Labor Statistics
http://stats.bls.gov/ocohome.htm
it's got information on all types of careers, what you must do to get there, potential pay, working conditions, number of new jobs expected in the next 5 years and blah blah blah... Go for it!
