Heck, when you compare it to other cars on the road it is still a hell of a lot of car for the money. A safe, reliable, unique and classy car is a must for me. I bought my first Saab a '96 900S at the end of the model year and still have it and it has been very trouble free. I just bought my second a 9-3SE and pick her up this Sat. again, end of the model year, with massive discounts. Fortunately new Saabs are within my means financially if they were not I would have to buy used or look elsewhere. It is not among the cheapest cars to buy or keep but you do get what you pay for.

I hope to keep these two in rotation for a good long time I think that cuts down on the expense quite a bit if you can do that. It is a matter of priorities. If I could not afford it I guess I would drive a Toyota or some generic vehicle like that, but I would not be smiling as I drove it. I almost enjoy taking mine into the shop for maintenance because I know I am taking good care of my baby.
