First you are comparing a 21k dollar Olds (even with leather) to a 31k 9-3 and or your experience with your personal 35k? 9000. Not fair. While marketed as the "import fighters" they sure as hell are trying to fight the 9-3, 3 series, A4 and others in that range. A proper comparison would be to the cars it is meant to got up against, Galant, Camry, Accord and other Yanks in that realm, Grand Am, Stratus, Contour, Malabu. Beyond that please make up your one choice but just make sure you are comparing apples to apples before declairing it a total failure. Also as a general rule for anyone who reads this post... never ever ever base a your view of a car on a rental. Rentals are the hardest driven and worst maintained cars on the planet. I have a good friend who got into car rental after collage (he has since escaped) and the first thing he discovored was that the cars contracted for release at 25k miles where not getting the oil changed and the 35k mile cars where only getting the oil changed once. In the 2.5 years he worked there the company refused to let him rotate the tires.
