I know all appreciate the support and prayers from all of us here on the Saabnet. There are many people from my neighborhood that work in and around the financial district of Manhattan. It's strange to look up from the hills here and not see those two towers extend into the sky. It's something no matter how many times you have seen it, you still can't ignore it.
Many people I know in this area are Saab enthusiasts. In fact was just watching a newscast on CNN and saw an Aero parked on one of the side streets next to a fire truck. Not that it matters but it just goes to show that all types of people, even those that have simular interests of ours were affected.
It's pretty grim because many in this area all know people that work in that complex, it's amazing how calm everyone seems to be. You see fighter jets patroling the skies. There is a mass effort to recruit blood donors. I have seen ambulances traveling full speed up the NJ turnpike from places as far away as Maryland enroute to lower Manhattan. I have seen volunteers taking trains into "The City" and ready to do whatever they can. There are multiple check points on the highways in NJ where you have to produce ID that travel into Manhattan. There are giant dump trucks with snow plows and State Police with automatic machine guns guarding the entrances to Newark International Airport.
I just had the opportunity to get online and thought I would read about a O2 sensor probem I was having and I saw all the people here sending out their condolences so I thought I would write this, because I am sure many here in The NYC area appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
