I think I need to jump in here and dispel some rumors about parts availability. As the owner of a '95 164Q (the 164 of 164s... :) I can say that parts are not at all hard to get. Just about everything you could need is available through all the normal OEM sources (the local Alfa shop gets its deliveries from WorldPac, just like my Saab guy) and ARDONA (Alfa Romeo Dealers Of North America) is still very much alive and well and shipping parts on a daily basis. So far the only things I've needed to order have been minor (fog light lense, turn signal, window regulator) but they all arrived the next day... Not a problem at all. My mechanic tells me it's just starting to get hard to find major mechanical bits for the 75 (GTV6, Milano) platforms such as driveshafts, but everything else is easy to find. There are plenty of mail order shops (Internation Auto Parts being one) supporting Alfas, and a couple dismantlers (Alfa Parts Exchange being one) dedicated to 'em.
On a side note, check out the link below and read around. People there will answer your questions readily - including Michael Smith. :) Everything you need to know is there...
