starting in August, 1964. Here are the SAABs I've owned in the order in which I bought them: 1964 96; 1969 99; 1959 93; 1971 99; 1968 95 (V-4); 1977 99 5-door; 1973 96; 1979 99 2-door; 1984 900; 1987 900; 1989 900 S; 1991 9000; 1996 9000 CS.
Does this make me the oldest person on this BB? I'll be 59 at the end of November.
I have cheated a bit in that my wife and I have sometimes had other cars along with the SAABs, but there's never been any time that we didn't have at least one SAAB. The other cars? '56 VW Beetle; '74 M-B 220 D (what a slug, but I had to try a diesel!); '74 BMW 2002 (lots of fun, but horrible in winter); '86 Honda Accord hatchback; '86 Volvo 240 wagon; '93 Volvo 240 wagon (should have kept that car - last of the breed, and with locking differential it got around OK in the winter); '96 Dodge Grand Caravan (very practical car, but absolutely no personality).
Hard to believe that my next SAAB will probably be my "retirement" car. I've never had a convertible, so I think that may be my next SAAB.
