this one looks the worst of all. somehow they can break into kernel mode via universal play and play and a buffer overrun attack. Sloppy Sloppy Sloppy, it is not the design. it is the lack of control over individual devs. fortunately a research firm found it first. this one could have toasted the disks at the device level. i.e. writeblocks of zero without the os even caring or knowing.
