The AudiWorld forums are soooo busy that there is indeed a lot of racer/ ricer stories, idle chit chat and occasional name-calling. However, it is , IMHO, far and away the best and most complete source anywhere for serious Audi info. If your friend asks a serious tech question, he will get answers.

If he doesn't want to participate actively, the FAQ and Tech sections are excellent. Just about anything he can think of asking has been asked....and answered. Or he can search a particular forum for a subject - "Blow Off Valve" , for example - and read what has been discussed in the past so he won't ask about a subject that has just been beaten to death.

I'm an AudiWorld fan - can you tell?

If your friend's 1.8T isn't yet chipped, that is the first thing he should research. That engine _really_ wakes up with an additional 7 psi of boost and makes the car a pure joy to drive...
