I'm registering for classes in about 9 hours. My college is still in the dark ages and we only register in person, and it begins at 8:30am. I'm going to get there at about 3am because the line gets veeeeery long and most classes that are worth taking are already filled. I'm wondering if a 300 level course in geography is likely to be much more difficult than an introductory level course. The course catalog does not list 300 level courses for geography as having an prerequisites. Here at the three courses Im picking from:
GEOG101 - World Regional Geography - An appreciation of spatial patterns in the distribution of physical and cultural phenomena in the major regions of the world.
GEOG201 - Introduction to Cultural Geography - An examination of the spatial patterns in human society and their impact on the evolution of past and present landscapes.
GEOG337 - Urban Geography - Examination of the spatial structure of urban places, with particular emphasis on theories of urban location, urban hierarchies, the internal structure of modern cities, and the geography of urban cultures.
I'm itching to sign up for the urban geography one, sounds very interesting, but I'm wondering if there is any reason (besides it being an upper level course) to believe that it may be more difficult. Im sure geography has its own geek-speak that hopefully isnt a problem in the upper level courses.
