If I remember right, Scotts Bluff is right on the edge with Wyoming. I would say it's more Wyoming then Nebraska. Sharper terrain and drier enviroment in general. Denver is probably closer in distance then Lincoln.
Saabs may be few and far between out there. My old Honda broke down in north central Neb. several years ago. People were definitely nice, but, I spent most of my time explaining what kind of car it was and the technology of timing belts.
As an Iowan, I'll say be prepared for a pace of life shift. And forcing the fast pace of the city on people from the rural midwest will make your life only more difficult. I've had several friends from the east coast become frustrated for several month's after moving here. Once they adjusted to the flow of things, they regretted moving back to the east.
Good luck
Terry
