Michelins are pretty much the worst value for the money. They are great tires, but very expensive. Try Yokohama Avid Touring instead. Really, really nice tires. They are only S-rated, so don't go driving 100 mph for 10 hours... The ride is excellent, the grip is there and they are quiet. Wear like rocks. Excellent tire for the money. About $42 each at tirerack.com (195/60-15).
For ultimate comfort try Michelin Rainforce. These are the most comfortable tires I've ever tried. Great in snow and good all-around grip. Wear quickly, though.
For a sportier tire, try Dunlop SP Sport A2. There are cheap and very sticky. Noisier than most "average" tires and ride rougher. But their grip and feel are excellent, especially for the money.
