I recall reading somewhere a while back that Sylvania is somehow related to the Osram brand, so it may well be that both of these brands "Silverstar" bulbs are the same. Since I am contemplating using these bulbs for my 1994 9000 Aero, which does not have DRLs, the shorter bulb life may not be as critical of an issue as it is on a 9-5, with DRLs.
If I may ask Goran, how did you patch in the resistor and relay on your
9-5 (since my wife drives a 9-5, her car may later be a candidate for a bulb upgrade after I assess these bulbs on my 9000)? In particular, how did you have full low beam voltage at the "right" most switch position, but have the low beam voltage drop when the high beam is on? Is this something that you did, or is the 9-5 designed to do this at all times?
Thanks for your insights.
