1: Do you live somewhere where it rains a lot during "mowing season"? If so, then bag it. Literally.
2: Do you live somewhere where the grass grows so fast that you may not be able to trim it before it gets too long? Then either go for a conversion (mulch or bag) or just go bag it.
I have an electric Black and Decker that is bag or mulch. When it works, it works great. But if it gets too long, or rains, it's a PITA. My parents had a mulching Snapper - same rules apply, only it can fight wet grass a BIT better. Wet grass does not mulch well, though.
