into a car itself, that would truly became a wonderful machine, that would have outsold any other. Yes, I do think that there would be enough people on the market that would move to a different brand if they liked what they saw so much. For 4K Saab could fix all the complaints - rattles, add a 300HP engine, 6 speed trannys, carpets, all stuff like this. They could even use gold to detail the dash so that people do not complain about second-rate interior materials. (BTW I think that soft plasitic covering upper portion of dash is far better than Audi/BMW which are often quoted as having better "materials"). Putting the money into incensitives is just a different marketing approach, with this "value" paradigm close resembling that of Ponticac/Chevy... Which in fact is a good hint as to where they will go...
Or at least 3K into car and 1K into ads :-)
