Briefly - My son is 24 years old - recently out of the military - he was working part time at the local Radio Schack Store while going to school 2 nights aweek and Saturday mornings.

He ran across an opportunity about a month ago to sell Cars at the local SAAB Dealer - he explained to the general Sales manager regarding his school commitments and they hired him to sell cars.

I received a phone call from him this morning saying that the OTHER sales manager gave him an ultimatium of either selling cars and quiting school or quit his job and go to school.

Important points to note - he did not get the stipulation in writing about the time off for his classes on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 10 and Saturday mornings from 7:30 until noon. Also he has a 90 day probation period - which I am sure they could always use against him.

He needs to make a decision rather quickly as to what to do. I really do not know what to tell him as he said he enjoys selling the cars, but his education is also very important to him so he is definately at a fork in the road of his life -

ANY and all thoughts regarding this would be greatly appreciated - I am half tempted to talk to an attorney regarding this - but I really don't think he has to much legal grounds to stand on (BTW the good sales manager would be more than happy to state that they new he was going to scholl when they hired him!)

AS a side note - we had purchased 2 SAABS from this dealership and had received good deals AND service from them - but this sure has left a bad taste in my mouth!
