Last month while driving to Houston, the DI cassett in my '96 900SETC decides to go south. This happened two years ago at 60,000 miles. I take it to Momentum Saab dealership in Houston (this place has marble bathrooms. I wonder how they pay for them). Well they charge $447 for the DI casset and $225 for labor. The total bill was over $700. I was not happy about these high prices since I told them the exact problem. Somehow they spent several hours trouble shooting the problem and replacing the spark plugs and overpriced casset. (I now know how they pay for the marble bathrooms).
Not happy that the DI casset only lasted 20,000 miles, I call Saab USA. The helpful lady instructs me to send a copy of the bill. Two weeks later I receive a check from Saab USA for $500.
I would like to thank Saab USA for their professional and courteous handling of this situation.
Mike
