11. That Saab exhaust sound (sadly RIP since the last C900 turbo)

there is no reason Saab can't feature your 1 through 9 and get lots of sales. I don't even demand much with the "unique exterior design": BMW, Audi and volvo all have unique exterior designs - you would never mistake a BMW for anything else, nor would you an A4 or S60 -- yet none of those are extreme designs that sacrifice attractiveness.

Just make a Saab look like it's own car, that's all. The unfreshened 9-5 did that; the freshenes 2002 9-5 looks more generic (that rear tailight look is pretty bad; the older 9-5's with the darkened lights looked really unique).

There is also no reason Saab can't offer up a 9-3 hatch *eventually*. They don't need to right now (and maybe the 9-3 wagon will look a lot like a hatch and moot this discussion). But I think they should if they manage to build sales up.

The Saab exhaust sound is probably a relic that won't be resuscitated; it may be a alittle unseemly in an expensive car. BUT maybe it could be an option for those that want it. That classic hollow sounding burble would be pretty sweet to hear again.
