I own a 2002 9-5 ARC, and am not looking forward to any minor bumps after reading the IIHS test stats. I agree the "pole" test is stupid and very unlikely, but the basic 5mph Front and Rear bumper straight-on tests should be aced, no question about it. Especially since Saab had this bumper thing down in prior models ($0 damage for Saab 900 front and rear, $0 front $152 rear for 9-3, and minimal for pre-2002 9-5's). This is a step backward. Saab should fix this in future models. No excuse.
