Fresh from SAAB Media

Saab’s total sales during the month of May amounted to 12,900 cars. This gives combined sales of 55,200 cars during the year’s first five months, which is 4,500 cars more than in the previous year. Primarily it is the Swedish and USA markets that are growing.
In the USA 3,993 cars were sold in May, which is over 990 cars more than in the same month of the previous year. During the first five months 16,500 cars were sold in the USA - an increase of 20 percent compared with the same period of last year.
In Sweden too the upward trend for Saab continues with 2,711 cars sold during May. This is an increase of 18.8 percent compared with May last year, and so far this year Saab’s new car registrations have increased by 9.7 percent.
“The total sales for Saab during May increased by 15 percent. This positive trend in the USA is being maintained. In the USA the sales have increased during May by 25 percent compared with May the previous year”, says Hans Karlander, responsible for Global Sales at Saab Automobile.
“Sales are going very well in Sweden. In May, sales in Sweden increased by 18 percent compared with May last year. We have won many new customers in Sweden, in addition, several independent surveys have shown that loyalty amongst our (old) customers is very high in our home market”, says Hans Karlander, responsible for Global Sales at Saab Automobile.
In May, Saab’s sales have increased in Italy where they have almost doubled compared with the previous year. So far this year sales have also increased in Belgium and Germany, on the other hand they have fallen in Great Britain, France and Spain compared with the same period the previous year.
