I grew up in Massachusetts and learned to drive there. Other places have annoying drivers too -- fast lane loiterers on I-5 near Seattle or the looky-loos in LA, for example. However, here are some things regularly seen on Massachusetts roads:
1. Only turn your headlights on after it gets really, really dark.
2. Breakdown lanes on 128 are for passing at very high speed, especially near exits and entrances.
3. Driving lanes in Boston are for double and triple parking.
4. State police on 495 will walk into two lanes of high-speed traffic with a scowl on their face just to point at you and tell you to pull over. You will stop.
5. Anything short of murder goes when trying to cross the Cape Cod Canal on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon.
Of course, if you really want to see lousy drivers, go to Rhode Island...
On a positive note, the chances of hitting a cow or seeing a Friday night high school football game on TV are near zero.
