I ten to agree, although on the road to extintion bad drivers often take good ones, caught by surprise. I know it should not happen but there are some things on the road that ARE unpredictable. Once I gave a cop an ecuse for speeding: I am afraid to drive in that hord ot Sunday drivers.
He did not buy it. He though it has to be safe driving 50 among 20 other cars going bumper to bumper, talking on the phone and not observing not only basic traffic laws but a common sense rules...
On quality of driving in America, you got it right, most people including cops are clueless and I start to understand why people by larger and larger "cars": Darwin. Let most of the US and Canadian drivers on European roads and they would instantenoulsy create a largest car crash ever. And is not a speed that would cause but lack of basic skills, carelessness and poor driver education... For starters: start using blinkers folks, thery are not that expensive. And do not block all the lanes, do not go with the guy in the right lane head to head. Left lanse is for passing (that's usually the law (sic!))
Sorry.
