Yeah, it's pretty terrible. Doesn't matter whether it's at home with my DSL connection or at the office with an OC-12. It's slower than it should be, difficult to read, and a royal PITA to navigate. Beyond all the UI issues, it's utterly worthless for real information. You can't find anything other than hype out on the site, and they seem to change the location of everything on a weekly basis.
The only auto maker website I've seen that's worse in recent times is Mazda's. It all looks nice, but wheny you try to find out info on the 6 or RX8 it's a real hunt to get there. Saab at has *them* beat.
My final rant, going out to everyone selling anything on the web: DON'T USE FLASH, YOU BLOODY IDIOTS. The *worst* thing in the world is not being able to send someone a direct URL to a product info page. When I tried to refer my Dad (looking for a mid-size wagon, trying to prevent him from buying a Passat :) to Mazda's 6 page, I couldn't! I had to send him to http://www.mazda.com and then provide "directions" on where to click in order to get him to the specs & gallery pages. He got frustrated, gave up. *Not* a good way to get referrals. Makes me think that the people who actually design these corporate web pages should skip some of the graphic design and marketing classes and attend basic CIS UI class. Maybe then they'd have a clue as to how people actually *use* the web.
