Wife, daughter and myself fully loaded with two bikes, bike trailer and full assortment of camping gear. Heavy load srings and Koni's did great as well as the 17x7.5 rims with performance Proxes tires. I was pushing the car hard going through the mountains between Oregon and California. The outside temp was 110F after the mountains. The temp gauge barely went into the red a few times and I was getting concerned almost enough to slow down but it went back down. The a/c was on full. The temp gauge would stay about 1/8 to 1/4 from red which was a lot higher than normal. I was driving faster than I probally should have up the hills but I felt like the car could take it. On the way back the temp stay around 1/2. The weather wasn't quite as hot but I was still driving hard so I was surprized the engine temp was so low in extreme conditions like that. Maybe the long road trip cleaned out the engine. The car seemed quite happy. Average speed was about 70 to 80 mph. I found no difference between the premium gas and regular. Started in Portland OR and first we stopped in Ashland OR for dinner and then got to Lake Shastina near Lake Shasta where we camped Clear blue lakes nad great mountains.. The next day we got to the Redwood State Park near San Jose CA. The park had beautiful streams and incredible Redwoods and other trees. We also saw Gordon Lightfoot which was great at the Mountain Winery not far from the Redwood State Park. We want to go back there for an anniversary. Really beatiful concert location. After 3 days in the Redwoods we hit San Fran for the day and had a good time at the wharf. When we got back across the Oregon boarder we continued up Int 5 past Roseburg and the took the highway by the Umpqua River to the coast. This road was one of the prettiest roads we have ever driven on. Just beautful trees and river. At the coast we went to the Sea Lion Caves and had some great seafood at the Blue Whale in Yahatts(mispelled). The we got back to 5 through Corvallis and back to Baverton in Portland, OR. We don't normally drive so far but it was fun to see all the different sights. Next time we would like to go to a closer camping site so we are not on the road so much even though we were quite comfortable in the 900. This car is the most versatile car that I've ever had. I love the big hatch and the engine is great. We enjoyed all the looks from other drivers. With the roof fully loaded up and the hatch, the car looked pretty serious. The passing power of the turbo was very nice even when fully loaded.

Keep on Saabing. Best, KB
