Question for historical sail buffs

I ran across an old sailing term - "a-tanto", as in, "the schooner's running rigging was all a-tanto". I searched the Web and my dictionary and have come up with no meaning. I guess it means ship-shape and ready for sea, but can anyone offer a true meaning?
TIA.
