Here's an idea... Posted by Clay McNeely [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Any other Alabama Saab owners out there??, bamaSAAB, Sun, 1 Sep 2002 20:54:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
As past President of the Saab Club of Texas, I wish to offer the following as simple advice. Take it or leave it, whichever pleases you. As I have noticed a lack of Saab enthusiasm from Alabama, I would assume that if a Saab Club of Alabama were formed, membership would be low. While Texas is an extremely large state, membership did remain in the lower numbers, as events were difficult to organize, and the such like. My advice to you is to join a Saab club in one of your surrounding states. Then you could simply create a branch off of that organization, involving the state of Alabama. That way membership would be decent and events would actually involve a larger group. This is just a simple suggestion. Sometimes it may seem like more trouble than it is worth to form an independent Saab enthusiast organization. If you just want to meet with other Saabers in your area, it isn't really necessary to go through the trouble of organizing an offical group. Contrary, it might be fun to have a name or something of the such. This is just my opinion. More than anything, I think I'm just thinking out loud. Anyway, if you have any questions about creating a Saab club and need some advice or anything, please feel free to contact me. Also, you may want to contact the Saab Club of North America to see if they might have any ideas or suggestions. Either way, I wish you the absolute best of luck in your future endeavors. Drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
