I've tried a leather repair kit, came with strips of webbing to put on the backside of the crack, a few bottles of different colored "liquid leather", paintbrushes, and patches to press over the liquid leather before it dried to make a patterned impression (texture) to match the rest of the leather.
IMHO, it sucked. First of all, mixing the colors to come up with the proper shade of charcoal gray was nearly impossible. Once the liquid leather was painted on, it didn't look like the rest of the seat as promised, it looked like I had painted colored white-out on it. It was shiny (the seat was matte), etc. And, the crack reappeared after a short amount of time.
Good luck!
