My long-time friend from college has been driving audi's forever and was complaining about incompetent dealer/tech work recently on his TT - he's buying the new 9-3! Wow!
Then there's the Audi TT nightmare site below. That's not a cheap car and also, these are all instances of anecdotal experiences...

Items with asterisks are uncorrected. You will notice that these items vary wildly in severity. I must also say, since I bet someone that knows me at AoA reads this board, that I do spend a lot of "hanging out" time at my dealer. My bitch is that I would rather stop in by choice to browse the latest accesories than have to go all of the time because something is broken. This last sentence is the way I feel. OK, here it is...
scratched front panel (Euro license plate shaped) upon delivery. Repainted
Short in right rear taillight, affected interior lights. Repaired
Bubble in tire, replaced
Loose driver's seat, removed and re-mounted
Rear shelf rattle. Replaced shelf
Faulty ignition switch, replaced
leaky driver's door triangular window. Replaced track and seal.
Bad instrument cluster, replaced
Bad instrument cluster #2, replaced
transmission hard/impossible to shift into first gear, changed gear oil after 3 week wait for "part", works great now
* Leather rubbing thin on driver's seat, nothing can be done
Return to dealer after voluntary recall suspension/spoiler installed to 1. retrieve trim piece 2. straighten steering wheel
Refund of money for front end cover, was falling apart at the seams, literally
Mushy brakes, bled under warranty
windshield washer nozzle not spraying on window. Replaced
* Rear of seat clicks upon gravitational shift, not repaired as of yet.
* passenger's seat creaks badly with passenger in it, no problem found
driver's seat creaks badly, fixed as unpredicted side effect of #4
bumper cover rattled under license plate. loosened and re-tightened bolts, fixed.
doors would not unlock and overhead lights would not turn off if door lock button pushed before starting car. Reprogrammed central locking system, fixed.
* Car sputters / and or stalls upon cold start. Car kept overnight, nothing wrong found. Happened 4 times in last week.
* Left speakers cut out very rarely. Unable to reproduce at dealer, so I didn't even bother to inform.
hatch had to be slammed hard to be closed as delivered, adjusted
