Hi. I'm from Boston and currently staying in Berlin, Germany for my dissertation research. Recently I got to know about "International Sales Program" and would like to ask a couple of questions regarding buying a used SAAB in Germany and tranporting it to USA. Any response, comment, and suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

After sending an inquiry e-mail at SAAB.com global site, I got a reply today from Jim Wagner at Saab Military Sales Würzburg Germany. He wrote that "You are not specifically eligible for the Military Program; however, I have a program with the same discounts as the Military Program, including new & used Saab, program cars, lease returns and all have free home shipment to USA."

Before I contact him, I would like to seek a piece of advice from you gurus:

1. Does anyone have an experience buying a USED Saab in Europe?
2. If you have bought and transported it, would you recommend it?
3. What would be a catch or is there any aspect I need to be cautious?
4. I'm in a budget of between $ 10,000-13,000 and what can I get with that money?
