Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes.
I bought my first Griot's boar’s hair car wash brush (1st generation, mahogany handle) some 8+ years ago. It worked great. So well in fact, that I also bought Griot's boar’s hair tire brush (synthetic handle). After 8 years of use the car wash brush began to loose its bristles. I was at Griot's one day to pick up some glass cleaner and lint free wipes (Griot's is about 20 miles from my house so it is an easy trip and saves the shipping charges) when I saw that Griot's had the boar’s hair car wash brush (2nd generation, mahogany handle, bristle side sealed with mastic) in their "Garage Sale" area. I bought one and casually mentioned that my old brush was loosing the bristles. The receptionist said to bring my old brush in for a refund. A few days later I took my old brush down to Griot's and they gave me a refund, not for the "sale" price I paid for the 2nd generation brush but full retail for the 3rd generation brush (synthetic handle)!
Griot's really means satisfaction 100% guaranteed for life.
