Yes, SAAB is learning. It finally has a near luxury/luxury sedan that it can sell. Now I know a lot of SAAB loyals are mad because SAAB dropped the hatch, but just think, it almost had to since money is tight and if you are going to design a car might as well be in the bread and butter market. Sure there are a couple of manufacturers making a new hatch, but it's a new trend that has not proven itself like the sedan market and the hatch sales in the 9-3 segment will never be near that of sedans. That is where the meat of the market is and SAAB needed to fill that void in the 9-3 price range. As good as the new SAABs are, there is still more to learn. Like it takes some marketing to sell cars....people have to know the product exists. Also, SAAB has to learn not to go too far away from mainstream. If most of the best cars in a segment are RWD and have excellent weight distribution and power...SAAB had better come close to what's selling. Nissan is listening to what people want...hopefully SAAB will listen more too. SAAB got in trouble when it didn't have a feel for what the market was doing.
Sorry for the rambling.
