Heh... I had the exact same reaction with that Audi advert.

Since the summer of 2000, Saab could have been strutting their stuff, using not only Pikes Peak, but the phenominal performance of the 9-3 on the Euro Rally Cross circuit... ( Rally Cross is a mix of roller derby, standard rally racing and short track oval racing )

It makes you wonder... SAAB has innovation and successes it never uses to ptomote itself. Why hasn't the safety record of the 9-5 been used to full advantage? That wonderful head on offset crash test they did was such a powerful image, yet I can imagine marketing dweebs thinking, "ooo it will scare people" or sum such... Why haven't the successes of Saabs racing efforts been used as lures? Saab has one the purest traditions and histories of any make out there, it is a great tool for sales, but is not used in direct marketing.... we the Saab insiders seem to know all these things, but that is becasue we are mostly proactive. those that are not proactive might still be imnpressed or drawn to the make, given the right tease....
