Come to Dallas Texas if you want to see the land of BMWs, Lexus, MB, and SUVs!!!
Anyway...At 27 I was into BMWs so that would be my first choice, but mine was a coupe. I wouldn't by the 4 door. I feel the 3 series was made to be a coupe.
Now...if you want to be different go Saab. You certainly won't regret it. I like the 9-3SS, but it is a first year run for the car so beware. That said I am sure it will still be fairly reliable - it sure looks cool and if I was 27 I would get one -- actually I would get a 2002 Viggen leftover.... That said for the same $$ go for the Aero (thats what I currently have). If you plan on keeping the car 10 years (you never know -- you might meet someone) and end up needing some more room you can't go wrong. The bike rack looks sweet on top too.
Audi A4 - Unless you can get a 3.0 with the 6 speed I would forget it. The turbo is weak in comparison to the Saab. I test drove the 2002 1.8 5 speed and got out of that car saying no way. Quattro is nice, but the A4 is the Audi that shouldn't be except as a convertible and the S4. (My Opinion) In general I like Audi (owned an allroad), but I don't like the A4. A6 would be a better vehicle.
Jaguar - forget it. If your into jags go for it. Not my taste and I have no real opinion.
Caddy - I wouldn't do it, especially not at 27. If you want to be different get a Saab. Not sure girls would dig it either (not that you care).
Anyway just some honest thoughts. So my recommendations would be 1) BMW 330 coupe 2) Saab 9-5 Aero 3) Saab 9-3SS 4) Audi A6
Good luck. You can't go wrong with a BMW, Saab or Audi. I am now on my second Saab -- my first was a Viggen -- now thats a ride!
