1. These are the students that can pay for on campus parking or afford the tickets. Creates a bad demographic sample

2. Art isn't a big $ career for 99.9% that graduate. So monetary support is probably there for the lifetime.

3. I bet they tote a new Nikon F4 to photo class.

My take of the situation... from experience. BFA photo, MA sculp.

1. Auto envy was for the '78 3/4 ton Chevy pickup illegally parked to off load 2 oak logs and 20 2x4s.

2. I paid for and earned my degrees.

3. Canon EOS boy boosting of the superiority of his camera stops to positively comment on the quality of my 8x10s asks "Wow, what kind of camera do YOU have?" Reply...'50s vintage Kodak Retina.

Money may ease the life of a student. But it doesn't improve the student.
