If handling to you is doing a circle in a parking lot well I don't know what to say..... Actually, take a look at some of the car mags for test on any SUV. Look at the skid pad numbers where they do a circle (200-600ft) & log the max lateral G load the vehicle can take. SUV's are in the .55 to .65 area while my old SPG did .84-.86 on the skid pad. Also consider the slalom where SUV's are in the low 60 to 50 MPH range while my old 88 SPG was at 67.7 mph.
I prefer taking my car to the roadcoarse on my lazy days & having fun with 911's, NSX's, M3's, etc. I use my suburban to tow it there & SUV are not allowed on the track do to their lack of safety. Even though the suburban is huge it also doesn't handle to bad especially after I added 17 wheels & 286 tires, however the high center of gravity & truck suspensions is bad for my idea of driving enjoyment.
