I want to paint my wheels (Boyd Coddington 5 spoke 2 piece rims), somewhere in the area of a gunmetal grey. Is this something I can do myself if I prep them right?? Or should I take it in somewhere? I am really only concerned about the durability of the paint, because I think I already know of a paint that I can use, and it is kind of a hammered-finish (not Hammerite though, it's a paint for OMC engines and outboards), and so the consistency and look of the finished product are not of my concern, just the durability. Just for reference, here is a picture of my wheels (it's the first car in the picture), so tell me your opinion on whether or not I should paint them. Thanks a lot!!
