Inifinity kappas have a good sound and you won't be disappointed. As far a back depth is concerned I've put some 3 inch deep woofers (Alpine) in those doors with a spacer(we're talking about a NG 900 right?)
Stay away from the audiobahns. Their components flat out suck, I know from experience (some of their subs are pretty impressive though...). Ideally you want your speaker to be equal distance from you and pointing directly at you and completely unobtstructed. The low door mount on the saab offer decent spacing but the driver side is obstructed and you are off axis to them. Putting the tweeter higher in the door can help, but to get the best sound you want the woofer and tweeter as close together as possible. So what the hell an I getting at?
My recommendation is to put a 3.5 coax in the dash (specifically the infinity 32.5cf) and a nice midbass in the door. Then cross them over with a simple two way 6db crossover at 500 hz. This will give you a nice up front sound stage with plenty of detail and openess, although the sound stage will remain a little left side biased. Additonally your get a full range of sound up front.
I know I said a lot and it may not all make sense, so let me know if you me to elaborate on anything.
Later,
Chad
