That would be totally senseless...... A local shop will be fine for routine services. If the car is still in warranty, then get the big services done at a Saab dealer. Better yet, learn to change the oil yourself - it is a useful skill and not difficult, though you will need to buy a few basic tools and find a nearby place that will recycle the old oil. Many auto parts stores will take it.
If you move to that part of the country you will have to get used to big skies and long distances - WA is a BIG state compared to any Eastern Seaboard state. I'm considering moving from Seattle to Spokane to get away from the amazingly horrible traffic west of the mountains - which isn't a problem in Walla Walla, for sure.
BTW, what kind of bike do you ride? I have a Cannondale Raven MB and a LeMonde Zurich road bike. I haven't ridden in that part of the state, but I expect the road riding is better than the mountain biking in the environs of Walla Walla.
