Complicated depends on you level of experience, but I would rate it as average in terms of difficulty to install. You would ideally need another amp but nothing too powerful. I can outline what to do if you want to try yourself. You want a pair of 6.5 midbass speakers, and a small amp (30 watts rms x2) would be plenty.

The idea is that sounds under 100 hz are basically non directional. If you cross over something at 100 hz you'll still have some noticable out put above or below that. A good cross over point would be about 70 hz, if you had some 6.5's that played cleanly down to about 70 hz and then you crossed the bass link down out 70 hz you could really thump it with out all of the sound seeming like it comes from the back.

My advice would be to get an amp that has a variable cross over too so that you can play with different frequncies to get it to sound exactly how you want. You may end up wanting to leave a gap (bass link at 70, fronts at 90) because cars can naturally reinforce sounds in that frequency range. The bottom line is to expermiment.

If you want to go back to circuit city this amp

http://www.circuitcity.com/frame1.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0669810744.1043184542@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccegadchgehmjglcfngcfkmdffhdffl.0&upper=head.jsp&lower=frame2.jsp&department=Car+Audio+and+Security&category=Car+Amplifiers&right=productsearch.jsp&left=leftchildcat.jsp

would be plenty, but they don't seem to offer any midbass speakers.

If you want to do it your self, you could replace the fronts, add an amp and some midbasses for under 200 bucks.

Let me know if you want more info,

Chad
