When I leased my 02' 9-5 under the GM Supplier Discount Program the agreed upon sales price for determining the monthly lease payment was the same price as if I was going to buy it under the Supplier Program. I told the dealer I wanted to buy it first and then changed my mind to say I wanted to lease it. That way they couldn't change the sales price for determining the lease on me. However, leases have all sorts of places where they can come back and make up their money so I sometimes wonder how well I did after all. I got an 9-5 02' Linear Auto with Premium Package for a sales price of something just over 30k. I also got, supposedly, a $500 Saab loyalty discount b/c I have a 97' 900S convertible, though I did not trade this in because they offered me a ridiculous trade in price of $4200. I decided my cash flow was good enough to just keep the little bugger for that trade in!! Anyway, on the 9-5 I put No Money Down on the lease, took it for 4 years instead of 3, with 12k miles per year, and pay approximately $425 per month. I'm sure someone on this board will tell me I'm an idiot, but at least I'm an idiot with two cars that I love...
