Interstate to the town near me. I was doing 90, or 95 for a couple of miles, got off at my exit, made a right turn on red, and got pulled over a 1/4 mile later.
Of course, when I saw the flashing lights, I thought I was going to get a huge fine, lots of points on my license, social disgrace, yada yada. Turned out he pulled me over becaues there was a "no turn on red" sign posted at the off ramp.
Man, was I relieved! Wow, thought I -I didn't get nabbed for 25 over. When the cop asked if I realized there was no turn on red, I replied truthfully that I didn't realize it, but I should have known since I live nearby.
A couple of minutes later, he let me off with a warning.
Whew! Maybe that's why I don't push the "S" button so much anymore.
