I don't believe products like hide food and oils are really that good for the seats.
Its best to use a mild cleaner. I prefer Eagle One leather cleaner to maintain the seats. Pinnacle also makes a very good leather cleaner. And I've heard the Griot's cleaner is excellent.
To protect I prefer 303 Aerospace. Again, the seats are clearcoated so conditioners and other oily products just smear around, providing little benefit. You need a protectant that offer UV protection and is water based. 303 Aerospace is excellent for this use.
