A couple of days after the huge blizzard in the Northeast, my brother was headed into Manhattan on the Long Island Expressway. Just a few exits from the Queensboro Bridge, he saw something strange up ahead in the road: a car's wheel!
He pulled over and turned on the various emergency lights in his car (bro is a volunteer firefighter and EMT) and found out where the wheel came from: a wrecked, flipped over, late model BMW 5-series with sport (summer) tires!
The two passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle. The driver was an older white male, chain smoking, yelling on his cell phone, "You gotta get over here NOW!". He suffered only a few scratches, cuts, and bruises.
The passenger, a younger black male with dreadlocks, had crawled over to the shoulder, but didn't fare so well: he suffered from a broken leg. He was repeatedly begging the driver for a cigarette... but the driver completely ignored him! That is, until the paramedics came. The driver finally gave his passenger a cigarette, but then the paramedics took it away! lol...
Drive safely!
Jason
