We bought a supercharged Previa minivan eight years ago because our 1988 C900 was getting too small for a family of four + two dogs.
The Previa now has 99k miles and the C900 188k miles. Except for a stuck thermostat that caused overheating, the 900 has never stranded us, even if it often ran subpar (bad ball joints, or unstable idle, or leaking rack).
The Toyota has stranded us several times due to a succession of bad fuel pumps, not to mention a trashed catalytic converter and periodic brake problems, supercharger oil that has to be constantly replenished, you get the picture.....
Overall, my wife prefers her old dependable C900S even with its falling headliner, (but more fun to drive 5 speed and better gas mileage) to the Toyota.
