Now the PO put on a ported head, but as far as I know Its stock otherwise. When I first bought it, it had a pretty bad missfire with CEL, and the variable intake solenoid was bad, so I've replaced those parts, but then took it apart and redid the suspension, and it is pretty quick. Not the fastest car I've driven, but it doesn't weigh much, so the power it has it uses pretty well.

I agree that mazda should have built the engine up a bit more. They literally did nothing to the internals to strengthen them for the turbo, so its limited to 6.5psi. Even a LPT 9-5 had like 12psi.

Its mostly a chance to feel like I'm back in high school driving around like I'm in the fast and the furious without having to have too many speeding tickets.
