...are closer to $40K with a few thousand miles on 'em, and I've heard some hints even that's a bit high.
The CTS-V is an amazing piece of hardware. I'm not much on the CTS shape, but the stainless-wire grille and the big wheels fix a lot of what's wrong with it.
The powertrain, brakes, chassis are as near-perfect as anyone's yet managed in a production sedan. The interior is so-so but livable. The seats look like crap but work very well.
I've got a 2000 M5 in the driveway, I love it, and its interior design and fit and finish are better than the Cadillac. But the CTS-V's got better navigation and electrogadgetry, it's at least equal in powertrain behavior, and its braking and all-around chassis balance needs about $6K of aftermarket bits to equal in the Bimmer.
If you have an opportunity, go drive one. It's just unbelievably good.
