Thoughts on 1986 Porsche 911?

I have been looking for a fun second car for a while, and a friend of my wife's (actually a business associate) has a 1986 Porsche 911 Targa for sale. He's just bought a newer 911 Turbo. I love the lines of the older 911's (the newer ones are a bit pimped out for my tastes). I would prefer a turbo, but this one has the 6 cylinder 3.2 litre engine with 205HP, so it's probably not underpowered, but not a speed demon either. I haven't seen the car yet but it has about 50k miles and am told it's in very good condition.

I've never even been inside a 911, but it's definetely on my shortlist of dream cars. At the top is Aston Martin DB6, but that's a little unrealistic. I would love an E-type but I can't imagine it being a daily (well daily in the summer anyway)driver. So an older Porsche seems to me to be a nice compromise between affordability, style and reliability.

Any thoughts? Also, any good Porsche websites like Saabnet?
