Are your two comparison cars both in good condition? If so, I would definitely go with the 300D. Three years ago I passed my 300D on to my 16 year son and he has had three years of problem free driving. The diesel motor is bulletproof and the car is an absolute tank. Top speed is just under 90 mph,& greater gas mileage. You do have to get used to the slower acceleration, but it's fine once you master it. In my area MB mechanics are snapping up as many of the '80's era diesels (especially turbo diesels)as they can get their hands on. Awesome cars!
