Hi.
First, thanks Scott for making yet an another enhancement to the site!
Second, I'm excited because I finally got to drive spend some time driving a NSX. I've been lusting after one for ages now and have been planning on getting one late this year or early next year.
Car review:
Inside: Nice, very Honda. Nothing extraneous, not much to play with, that's not a bad thing in a car that is as fast as this though.... Four way power seats, single zone ACC, bose stereo (not nearly as nice as sounding as my wife's HK in her 9'5 Aero), perfect shifter (as good as a Miata and that's the highest praise I can give to a shifter).
Exterior: Awesome. One I drove is black, I want a red one.........
Driving Experience: Interesting. Deceptively fast. Ever driven a late model Honda Prelude? Its like that. Its fast in a way that's much different than the Aero or my mod'd SPG. In the Saabs, you feel a rush (and in the SPG, most of the mid-atlantic can hear that I'm going fast), but the NSX was much more subtle about its approach to speed. From a start, it was incredible power (makes my SPG seem like I'm towing a trailer), but at highway speed, I had to drop to fourth gear to find the power curve. Nonetheless, it was fantastic (and can be mod'd to go faster).
Handling: Ahhhhhhh, the handling... Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. This is the way a sports car is supposed to handle. Felt completely secure around turns, inspired confidence into all corners and basically made me feel like I was really working with the car to do whatever it is I wanted. The NSX was like a good friend who is helping you with a project. You don't even know how to begin saying thanks.
All in all, I can't wait to get one...
However, all that being said, I drove the SPG around the rest of the weekend and it was a kick in the pants to drive.....
